　　《理想丈夫》里有王尔德一贯幽默直白的语言和一波三折的戏剧冲突：罗伯特·切尔顿仕途光明、道德高尚，是妻子和世人眼里的理想丈夫，不料一位手握切尔顿发迹史证据的谢弗列太太的出现，危及到了他的婚姻与事业。就在谢弗列太太以此为要挟，要与切尔顿达成新的肮脏交易之际，伦敦第一闲人、罗伯特好友戈林的出手相助，周旋于两个女人之间，化解了罗伯特的危机。
　　这版《理想丈夫》由乔纳森·彻奇导演，奥利弗奖得主纳撒尼尔?帕克出演主人公，“狐狸弟弟”弗雷迪·福克斯与爱德华·福克斯（《女王召见》）同台飙戏，真实出演剧中父子。这版“风格鲜明的复排”（《卫报》）尽显王尔德作品中的风趣与狡黠，令人欲罢不能。
