　　律师阿顿的妻子爱伦是人类探险队的一员，不幸在印度支那海域遇难，生死不明。七年过去了，阿顿准备再婚，政府宣布了“爱伦死亡”，结束了他们的婚姻，同时允许阿顿再婚。就在他和新娘准备度蜜月的时候，爱伦奇迹般的回家了，孩子们都长大了，已不认识爱伦，他们都认为爱伦在海难中丧生，阿顿看见妻子归来喜出望外，棘手的是他如何面对两个女人，他发现自己依然深爱着爱伦。阿顿被控犯了重婚罪，事出有因，法庭审理此案时，宣布第二次婚姻无效，爱伦重回丈夫身边，孩子们也知道他们的妈妈复活了，幸福围绕着他们。
