◎简　　介

　　1966年，年轻的詹姆斯·亨德里克斯——艺名吉米·詹姆斯(安德雷·本杰明 饰演)是纽约Cheetah俱乐部里一位不知名的伴奏吉他手。他的才华吸引到时髦、嬉皮的琳达·基斯(伊莫珍·波茨 饰演)的注意力。琳达刚好是英国摇滚乐队滚石的吉他手Keith Richards的女友。她对吉米的才华大加赞赏，甚至送了他一把新的吉他。在琳达的引见之下，吉米进入了英国的音乐圈寻求发展。他结识了The Animals乐队的贝斯手查丝·钱德勒，后者成为了他未来的经纪人。在伦敦，吉米发现琳达有着超强的控制欲，另一边他还结识了一名新的仰慕者，凯西·爱琴汉姆(海莉·阿特维尔 饰演)。她与吉米一拍即合。在名气和成功随之到来的同时，吉米也在琳达和凯西之间难以取舍。

        影片反映的是吉米·亨德里克斯在1966-1967年间在英国录制首张唱片《Are You Experienced》时期的生活。
