With one sister pregnant and the other coming out of the closet and falling in love (with the adorable Nicole Dionne), the whole family is hustling to stay on top in the wild world of competitive ballroom dance.

A competitive family discovers that the road to victory has its fair share of obstacles in this upbeat gay musical comedy. Sheri Campari is a ballroom dancer-turned-overbearing stage mother who has driven her daughter Tasi to become an amateur ballroom phenomenon. But when Tasi gets pregnant, the pressure to win an upcoming competition falls on her sister and practice partner Toni. A shrinking violet, Toni is a gifted dancer, yet prefers to maintain a low profile. To complicate matters further, Toni has fallen head over heels in love with Mona. Unfortunately, Toni can't find the counrage to come out of the closet, or the words to tell Mona how she really feels. As the competition draws near and true love seems to come within her reach, the reluctant replacement dancer struggles to find her footing both literally and figuratively.
