幕后制作

执导的《罗浮宫魅影》以及《超级女特工》都曾在中国上映的法国导演让-保尔·萨罗米，《变色龙》是他的首部部英文影片，尽管之前的全部使用法国演员的《梦游美利坚》也曾在这里拍摄。这已经不是他第一次从新闻报道中汲取灵感，《强盗们》和《梦游美利坚》也是如此，“这类源自真实故事能够给我以更大的信心”，萨罗米表示。影片开拍前他见到了影片的主人公原型Frederic Bourdin，但在创作剧本阶段，他和搭档一直拒绝这样做，原因是不希望“爱上角色抑或是被他所吓住”。扮演Bourdin的马克安德鲁-格隆丁来自加拿大，成名作《爱疯狂》曾多次在电影节获奖，后又凭借《余生的第一天》荣获法国凯撒新人奖，他流利的法语以及英文加上一副可以被当做依然处在后青春期的外表令他成为主人公的最佳人选。

Plot
