　　盖尔（Rachel McIntyre 饰）和奶奶过着相依为命的生活，盖尔患有广场恐惧症，于是整天将自己关在家里。而盖尔的奶奶则患有幽闭恐惧症，但腿脚不好的她无法独自外出，因此也终日生活在痛苦之中。格莱德文太太（Betty Bench 饰）和丈夫结婚多年，两人之间感情一直十分要好，然而，一场突如其来的出轨事件破坏了他们婚姻生活的平静，两个人虽然向生活妥协，但都付出了相应的代价。
